Thierry Henry Apologises After Calling Players Grandmother A Whore

AS Monaco manager Thierry Henry has apologised after calling Strasbourg’s Kenny Lala’s grandmother a ‘whore’.

Thierry Henry’s side were absolutely smashed at the weekend. His team lost 5-1 at home to Strasbourg.

The Arsenal legend wasn’t happy on the touchline, and hollered some uncalled for abuse towards the opposition.

Just before the break, he shouted: “It’s the 43rd minute, your grandmother’s whore” in a sensational rant.

“He’s got to stop now, that’s enough,” he said to a match official.

Henry has since owned up, saying he regrets his comments.

“It’s an expression of the street, unfortunately,” he said.

“I regret my comments from the bench. It was a human reaction, I’m still human. I regret it.

“Sometimes I do it in English. Maybe in English it wouldn’t have been as noticeable. No, I’m joking. I should not do it.”

Despite securing the services of Cesc Fabregas from Chelsea, AS Monaco are still struggling in Ligue 1 and currently occupy a relegation spot.

AS Monaco sit in 19th with only 15 points on the board.

Meanwhile, AS Monaco are back in action on Tuesday night in the French Cup. They resume their faltering league campaign on the weekend against Dijon.
